June Wrap Up

Hi folks!

Remember when I said in the last wrap up post? That I hoped I can read a little more books in June? Yeah, that did not happen… I actually ended up reading only one book and that one book ended up being a reread… Not sure where have things gone this “wrong” but at least I still ended up reading a book! Not sure if July will be any more successful as I’m actually a lot more busy with weddings and other things but a girl can hope right?

I would also like to apologise for not sticking to my posting schedule. I had some personal things going down, which messed up a lot of things so I couldn’t get around it sadly.

So this month I reread Loveless by Alice Oseman. I have read this book two other times before so I know the book quite well and it is one of my comfort reads. I do have a review up on my blog if you want to read more of my thoughts, you can find that here. I still adore this book on the 3rd read, and honestly if it’s possible I love it even more. I definitely put more sticky notes into it and honestly I decided this is going to be the first book I am going to annotate properly on my next reread because I just love it so much. For those who don’t know what’s the story is about, it’s about Georgia trying to find love as she goes to university. It has a lot of queer representations (gay, lesbian, ace, etc.) and is a really amazing book about friendships. I cried 3 separate times over this book, I hope that says it all, how much this book moves me every time. I think the more I read it the more I cry about it. I really think all my friends should read it at least once.

Anyhow, I love this book and this was the only book I read this month, though I have been slowly going through Rule of Wolves by Leigh Bardugo. It’s not actually the story’s fault I’m going through it slow, I think it’s the format that’s making it hard for me. I think I mentioned I have bad wrists, thus holding hardback copies is a bit difficult and painful at times for me, and I have this in a hardback so it’s making my progress slow… I do enjoy the story, it’s just that the physical copy is making it a lot more slower for me, but I hope I can finish it sooner than later! I’m about 50% into it anyway so fingers crossed!

How was your reading month? How many books have you read? Let me know in the comments down below!
