Popular Books I Haven’t Read Yet

Hi folks!

Back in 2018 I made a list of popular books that I certainly won’t read. If you want to see that list for yourself you can find it here. I thought it would be a fun idea to make a list of popular books that I haven’t yet that I might or might not read. So I’m bringing you 5 books that are quite popular and yet I haven’t gotten around reading them.

Circe by Madeline Miller

This book is nearly 2 years old, loved by many in the community and been on my TBR since it was announced yet I still haven’t gotten around reading it. Hopefully this will change this year! I’ll really try to prioratize getting to it!

The Cruel Prince by Holly Black

A very polarizing book but seems like everyone and even their grandma has read it, except me. To be honest I’m kind of scared of picking this one up, especially seeing how loved it is in the community. We will see if I ever get around reading it.

The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern

This book is widely loved by everyone in the community, I somehow never gotten around reading it. And now Erin Morgenstern has a new book out. I would like to try this book, just to see if I like it as much as almost everyone or not.

The Poppy War by R. F. Kuang

This book has been really big, it’s even getting translated to Hungarian and I still haven’t gotten around reading it… There is no excuse to it honestly, especially because I feel like I’d love it! Definitely will try to get to this one too this year!

An Enchantment of Ravens by Margaret Rogerson

Last year I read Rogerson’s other book, Sorcery of Thorns and did not enjoy it as much as others in the community. This is another rather popular one by her and to be honest, I’m not really sure if I want to read it or not. However I’ll be keeping it on my TBR for a little longer. The cover is absolutely gorgeous!

These are five of the popular books I haven’t gotten around reading just yet. What are 5 popular books you haven’t gotten around reading yet?

  1. I am with you on 4 out of 5 books here! So I will borrow those for 4 books, the only book I HAVE read from this list being The Night Circus. So for one separate popular book that I haven’t read, I will go ahead and answer with ACOTAR. And really that goes for any book in the series. Haven’t read them. Someday I will, but as for right now, there are so many other books out there for me to read I just haven’t gotten to this series yet!

    1. At least I’m not alone with not reading these! I plan on reading The Night Circus, especially seeing how well loved it is. I read the first two books in the ACOTAR series and honestly they weren’t my favourites. So I won’t try to persuade you to read it! 😄

  2. 3 of 5 books have also been on my TBR for so long. I even have a copy of The Night Circus. I don’t know why I haven’t read it yet. You already know I enjoyed The Cruel Prince, but I’ve yet to read the last book. The only book I probably won’t read is An Enchantment of Ravens since it doesn’t really pique my interest. But who knows, right? I’d love to hear your thoughts when you do read these books!

    1. It’s one of those cases where you have the book, you don’t read it and when you finally do you end up liking it and regret not reading it earlier. I think I will read The Cruel Prince sooner or later! I totally get that feeling with AEOR, I feel similarly, but also I didn’t enjoy that much the other book of the author. I’ll definitely tweet about them once I get around reading them!

  3. An Enchantment of Ravens was okay, but nothing special. Maybe read it if you want an easy fantasy romance, but otherwise I wouldn’t bother. I really liked Holly Black’s The Darkest Part of the Forest, but I haven’t really enjoyed her other work as much, so I’ve decided not to read The Cruel Prince.

If you read any book off this list… make it The Night Circus. I was really young when I first tried it, and I didn’t like it so much, but now it is one of my all-time favourites. The writing is lush, the world is magical, and the romance moves your heart. It’s definitely one I want to reread soon. I haven’t read Erin Morgenstern’s new book yet, but it’s on my shelves and I’m really looking forward to it.
