End of the Year Book Tag

Hi folks!

I’ve seen this tag going around and since it’s already October (Where is time running? But also I’m so done with this year so it could be over already…) I thought it was a great time to do this tag!

Are there any books you started this year that you need to finish?

  • Somehow I managed to finish every book I started reading this year so I’m pretty content with myself. I’m trying to listen to The Lord of the Rings audiobooks before the year ends!

Do you have an autumnal book to transition into the end of the year?

  • Well I picked up Dracula by Bram Stoker, and I think it’s a pretty nice transition into the end of the year.

Is there a new release you’re still waiting for?

  • Oh you can bet! I’m really slow with getting to new releases in general anyway but by the time this post goes up Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo will be out and I really, really want to get to this book!

What are three books you want to read before the end of the year?

  • I already mentioned The Lord of The Rings books so I want to mention 3 others. Since 2017 I started doing yearly TBRs because monthly TBRs don’t work for me. So Naturally I have one for this year too. 3 books from this TBR: Vengeful by V. E. Schwab, Windwitch by Susan Dennard and Ace of Shades by Amanda Foody. I’m not sure if I can get to all of these before the end of the year but I’ll definitely try!

Is there a book you think could still shock you and become your favourite book of the year?

  • That’s an interesting question. I honestly don’t know if there is one. My physical TBR is very slim at the moment, especially because I don’t feel like reading anything. However if an Assassin’s Creed book ended up being a favourite… Now that would be a real shock.

Have you already started making reading plans for 2020?

  • Oh my… I actually tweeted about this not long ago, how I wanted to already put together my yearly TBR for 2020. I’m not even half-way done with this year’s TBR  so I probably would have to take care of that first, instead of thinking about what I want to read next year.

This was the tag, hope you all enjoyed it! If you want to do it, I tag you!

  1. Great book choices. Can’t agree more with you regarding TBR preparations. It’s hard to pick, and I can never stick to them. I might steal this for later in the year, sounds like an interesting tag. 😉
